I recently added a few more LeChat Perfect Match colors to my collection, and I have swatches of two purple shades today. I really love the quality of this brand. I have several more shades to swatch in the coming weeks, including some fun Mood color-changers. The two polishes that you see below both have amazing formulas and were easy to apply, with opaque coverage in just two coats.
A Night at the Cinema is a dark purple base that’s loaded with purple glitter. It’s SUPER gorgeous in person. I’ve really been drawn to purples lately, and this color might be in my top 10 favorites of all time! I didn’t want to take it off!
Butterflies is a lovely lilac purple shade with a cream finish. This one was nearly opaque with just one coat, but I applied two for good measure.
I have two colors from the LeChat Perfect MatchLove Dream Collection to share with you today. Both of these shades have a frosty finish with an iridescent shimmer. There’s also a purple shade called Our Secret Eden in this collection with a similar finish that I’m now lusting after as well! These two colors provided great coverage with just two coats, and applied flawlessly from edge-to-edge. Frost finishes will show brush strokes when you apply them, so long steady strokes are needed to achieve an optimal finish.

This is Shangri-La, a dark teal blue frost with an iridescent shimmer that is a lighter shade of teal. You know I’m a total sucker for blues and teals, and this one has just stolen my heart. In some lights it has a bit of a duochrome effect, where it looks both dark and light at the same time. I’m wearing this color right now, and it won’t be coming off for a little while.
My Sweet Desire is a coral-leaning orange shade, also with a lighter iridescent shimmer. This shade just sort of glow on your fingertips! It’s probably more appropriate for spring or summer wear, but I just adore it.
The LeChat Perfect Match shades also come with a matching regular nail lacquer, which is a bonus! I love being able to match my toes to my hands, but don’t like wearing gel polish on my toes.
Hi everyone! Many of you have asked about the LeChat Perfect Match Pop of Vogue Collection, and today I have swatches for you! This collection contains six (6) glitter gel polishes that can be worn on their own or as glitter toppers over other colors. The swatches on my hands demonstrate how the glitters look without a base color underneath, and then I also show some examples of what the glitters look like over a few different colors.

Violet Vixen is loaded with large and small purple hex glitters as well as some small holographic glitters. This swatch is three coats.
The image below demonstrates what this glitter looks like when two coats are applied over black, white, purple, pink and light blue. You can click on the image to view a larger version. Over black the glitter isn’t very noticeable until the light hits it. It also makes some of the glitter look a little green which is interesting. I didn’t realize until I applied this polish over white that the base actually has a slight greyish tint to it, so it alters the base color underneath just a tad. I like that you can see dark and light purple hexes over the white base.
Style Envy has a sheer base with a teal tint to it, and is loaded with teal, green and holographic glitters.
Because of the teal base I think this color works best over blues or darker shades. In the examples below, 2 coats of Style Envy are applied over black, white, and three different shades of blue. I love how this one looks over black, and I bet it would also look great over a really dark blue or green cream. Click on the image to see it larger.
Neontopia is probably my favorite in the set because it’s so fun and whimsical. This one has pink, blue, green and yellow glitters of different sizes. I especially like the oversized hexes.
The sheer base of Neontopia seems to have a slight pink tint to it. This example shows two coats over black, white, light pink, light yellow and light blue. I personally love it over black and white because the colors really pop. Some of the pink glitters are hard to see over black. Click on the image to see it larger.
Golden Bliss is a glitter topper with a mix of large and small gold glitters. The glitter is pretty dense and has good coverage, but not quite enough to cover the nail completely. This swatch shows two coats with no base color.
Below you can see two coats of Golden Bliss over black, white, coral and purple. I think this would look good over most colors. Click on the image to view it larger.
Titanium is pretty much identical to Golden Bliss except the glitters are silver instead of gold.
Below you can see Titanium over the same colors; black, white, coral and purple. This would also look good over most colors.
Black Tie Affair is a glitter topper with black and white hexes, square glitters and bar glitters, and some tiny holographic glitters. This is probably my least favorite of the group since I’m not a fan of bar glitter, but that’s really a personal preference. Bar glitter looks messy to me and I’m a little OCD and like things to be nice and uniform. LOL
Since these glitters are black and white I think they pop best over brighter colors. Below you can see Black Tie Affair over black, white, orange, teal blue, and lime green.
Are you ready to see a couple of the new LeChat Perfect Match Mood polishes that came out this fall? I have two of these fun, color changing shades today. Both of these colors had great coverage and were opaque in just two coats.

Starry Night has a really dramatic color shift. This polish is packed with holographic microglitter and the base color shifts from a milky light grey when warm, to dark black when cold. I love the addition of the holographic glitter in this polish.
Here’s a closer shot of Starry Night while in transition.
Deep Sea is a very unique color combination with an amazing shimmer finish. This mood polish shifts from a coral shade when warm, to dark grey when cold. This polish also has gold and purple shimmer throughout.
Here is a closer shot of Deep Sea while in transition.
And here’s a closer look at Deep Sea when it’s cold. You can see how the purple and gold shimmer really pop against the grey. Love it!

LeChat Perfect Match Ready for My Close-up is a gorgeous glittery, shimmery, deep blue-ish purple. I didn’t think my camera would be able to capture all of the glittery goodness of this polish, but it did a pretty decent job. I’m just drooling over this polish… seriously. It catches the light and just sparkles all over the place. The formula is great and the color is completely opaque in just two coats. And the Perfect Match gel polishes also come with a matching nail lacquer, so you can match your toes to your hands.
I love this color so much that I had to make a matching ring. If you would like to learn more about making gel polish rings, please check out my videos here. I demonstrate making rings with gel polish & loose glitter, or just with gel polish alone (the second video).
I have a couple more color changing Mood polishes from LeChat Perfect Match today! These two colors have cream finishes. I recently posted about two shimmer finish moods, Deep Sea & Starry Night, which you can see here.

Trissie shifts from a medium purple when warm, to a medium blue shade when cold. The blue color is a bit periwinkle-ish, and I really like it. This polish seemed to be very sensitive to warm and cold and shifted quite a bit and had some really great transitions.
Island Wonder shifts from a minty green when warm, to a dusty purple when cold. I had a hard time getting a good transition picture of this polish – it didn’t want to shift back and forth as much, and was often a bit muddy looking (pretty purple mud of course). I’ve actually been wearing this color for a few days and it’s usually purple, but it’s winter and I’m a freeze baby so that’s not surprising. I really like the minty shade and wonder if it would be mostly that color if the temperatures were warmer. If you look really closely this color also looks a tiny bit grainy when it’s purple. My camera actually captured this in most of the pictures too.
And here is a picture of the freehand nail art doodles that I painted over Island Wonder. I recently picked up some Presto nail art gel pots which are supposed to be great for freehand art because they’re super thick and don’t spread/level like regular gel polish. This was my first time trying it since I thought some art would look cool over the mood polish. I plan to practice some more and will be sure to post about the art gels at a later date.
Have you seen or heard about LeChat’s newest product? Rosemantic is a brand new limited edition SCENTED mood gel polish! It smells like roses AND changes colors! The rose scent is pretty strong when the polish is first applied. It’s stronger before the top coat is applied. I recommend using a top coat for the best long-lasting results (without a top coat Rosemantic has a matte finish). Even with a top coat applied, the rose scent comes through. The scent starts to fade a little after a few days, but the swatch sticks that I prepared a couple weeks ago still have a hint of rose scent. And as with all Perfect Match gel polishes, it also comes with a matching nail lacquer.
Rosemantic is a bright bubble gum pink when warm, and classic rose red when cold. The collage below shows the colors when warm, cold and during transition. The color is pretty opaque in two coats, but I applied three coats for these swatches.
It’s possible that this color might be a fader. The warm color cures to a completely different color when cured in a UV lamp vs an LED lamp. When cured in a UV lamp the warm color is more of a peachy shade. The image below shows comparisons on swatch sticks of Rosemantic cured in UV vs LED. You can see that the cold color is still the same, but the warm colors are vastly different. I tried to conduct a fade test on the polish that was cured in LED, but it’s been very cold and dark here with little sunlight. My test was inconclusive.
I personally like the colors both ways, but be aware of this before deciding what type of lamp to use.
Here is a closer look at my transition shot. It’s a really pretty color combination and is perfect for the upcoming romantic season!
I decided to add a stamped design over Rosemantic to get in the mood for Valentine’s Day. I really wanted to use a rose image to stick with the theme, but my rose image wouldn’t pick up for the life of me. I ended up choosing this whimsical heart and swirls design from the Bundle Monster plate BM-612. I used a light pink stamping polish from Mundo de Unas.

I have swatches of the new LeChat Perfect Match La Fleur Collection today! This new Spring 2015 collection consists of six bright and cheerful colors. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly ready for Spring and some brighter colors. This winter has been bitter cold and snowy here in Ohio with temperatures dipping well below zero more times than I can count, and snow has covered the ground for more than 8 weeks straight. Seeing the Spring colors coming out gives me hope that the snow will soon melt and we’ll see grass and flowers instead of this blanket of white and grey. :)
There are three colors in this collection that have a shimmer finish, and three with a cream finish. I found that the creams were a bit on the sheer side and were almost a jelly-like in consistency. The coverage was pretty even, though I preferred the opacity of them with three coats instead of two. The shimmer finishes had a little better coverage with two coats, though I did apply three coats of each color for these swatches. I experienced some shrinkback at the tips with all of these polishes, so I flash cured them to hold the color in place.
Sweet Iris is a blue-ish purple cream. I had a really hard time capturing this color in a photo because my camera was pulling out the blue tones. In pure daylight it looks more purple than my swatch, but it definitely has blue qualities as well. It reminds me a lot of Shellac Purple Purple in tone, but without the frosty shimmer finish. It’s a unique color, and I can’t wait to wear it!
Morning Melody is a medium blue cream. This color is in the same family as Gelish One Cool Cat, ibd Swag Bag and Shellac Cerulean Blue. It’s a touch cooler in tone (less teal), but they’re all very similar.
Rose Glow is a very bright, almost neon, red-leaning pink with a cream finish. This color is similar to Gelish Brights Have More Fun and Shake It Til You Samba. This color is definitely an attention grabber and is awesome for beach wear!
Orange Blossom is medium orange with a golden shimmer. This shade reminds me of LeChat Lollipop, but with the added shimmer. It’s also similar to Gelish Orange Cream Dream, except that OCD has more of a frosty finish instead of the sparkly shimmer. I’m definitely loving this color.
Peony Passion is bright medium pink with a golden shimmer. I compared this color with my other swatches and really can’t find anything quite like it. I feel like it has some blue-ish undertones to it. Most of my pinks are either red or purple-toned, and this one stands out from the crowd.
Dewdrops is a bright medium green with a golden shimmer finish. It’s close to Gelish Amazon Flirt in shade and brightness, but it has the added shimmer and better coverage.

I’m trying to work through a few more of my untried polishes, and today I have a few Spring-y shades from LeChat Perfect Match. Each of these swatches is three coats of color. They all applied a tad bit streaky, but that could have been because they’ve been sitting for quite a while and need some extra shake time.
LeChat Happily Ever After is a creamy pastel yellow. This shade is in the same color family as Gelish Doo Wop and CND Shellac Bicycle Yellow. Yellow makes my skin tone look very red, but I think it would really pop against darker skin.
LeChat Pink Lady is a nice pale pink polish with a very subtle shimmer.
LeChat Lollipop is a medium orange cream polish. This is one of the very few true orange shades in my stash. It’s in the same color family as LeChat Orange Blossom and Gelish Orange Cream Dream, both of which have shimmer finishes. This is a great Summer color, and I think would look great in a gradient using Happily Ever After.
Sorry I’m a little short on words today… I have to go study for my exam this week. We’re already testing out of the beta/gamma phase with a written test that covers the whole book, and a mock State Board exam. Wish me luck! :)
The Oasis Collection from LeChat Perfect Match consists of six bold colors with tropical hues for Summer. All six shades have a cream finish, and they’re all amazing colors to wear to the beach or pool. I’m loving the brights and neons this season!
All of the swatches that I prepared show three coats of color, though most only really needed two coats for solid coverage. I had some shrinking issues with them at first, but giving them a really good shake on my Robart helped with that.
Castaway is the only color in the collection that’s a bit muted and isn’t super bright. It’s a medium pastel purple. The only color that I own that’s similar to this shade is Madam Glam Lilac.
Wanderlust is a medium green cream. This is a very unique shade and when compared side-by-side with my other greens it seems to lean slightly blue (not yellow). I probably wouldn’t wear green on my nails, but it would be great as a base for nail art with some other pops of color.
Sunkissed is a neon peachy pink cream. This was a hard color to capture on camera because it’s so bright. It’s similar in shade to Gelish Manga-Round, but is a few shades lighter. It’s also more pink toned than some of the other peachy neons that are out there such as Gelish I’m Brighter Than You and Gelaze Flip Flop Fantasy.
Into the Deep is my absolute favorite color of the season so far. It’s a bright, bold cobalt blue. My classmates will tell you that this is my color right now… I just bought a car this color and I have shoes and a purse to match. LOL The only color in my stash that’s somewhat similar is Gelish Mali-Blu Me Away, except Into the Deep is a little darker and provides better coverage.
Paradise is a gorgeous neon pink cream. This is a really hot color! I don’t have any other pinks exactly like it, but it’s a few shades darker than Gelish Make You Blink Pink, and rivals it in brightness.
Heatwave is a bright firery red cream. It’s hands down the brightest true red in my stash.

These are two of the newest Mood gel polishes that were released by LeChat Perfect Match. There are four other new mood shades that I will write about soon. I swatched these two colors several weeks ago when my nails were still rounded. I’ve since gone back to my usual square shape.
Wicked Love is an exceptionally gorgeous shimmery mood polish that changes from a vibrant pink when warm, to a dark blue-toned purple when cold. I really like both colors, as well as the smooth transition. This is a color that could be worn year-round.
Here’s a closer look at the transition. Mmmmm…. shimmery goodness!
Smokey Haute is a cooler shade that’s a taupe-leaning light grey when warm, and dark grey when cold. While this mood stays within the same color family, the two shades are quite contrasting. This color would be great for the fall and winter months.
Here’s a closer look at Smokey Haute in transition.
I love mood polishes, though I have to admit that they’re a pain to swatch… especially in extreme weather. I swatched both of these when it was hot out and had a heck of a time getting photos of the cold colors. :)
The LeChat Perfect Match Rock It! Collection contains six rockin’ glittery shades for Fall! I personally love shimmer and glitter finishes so this collection is right up my alley. I’ve also started transitioning into the darker Fall colors now that the weather is cooling off here in Ohio a little. The bottom three photos in the collage above really remind of me of the gorgeous colors that we see on the trees here in Fall.
The LeChat Perfect Match sets all come with a gel polish and a matching lacquer. I’m finding the matching lacquers to come in handy at the nail studio since many clients want to match their toes to their hands.
Rock the Mic is a black gel polish with silver microglitter shimmer. I love this look for the cooler months. This color however, is almost identical to LeChat Obsession which was a limited edition color. If you already have that one, you don’t need this. If you couldn’t get your hands on Obsession for any reason, Rock the Mic is a great substitute.
Showstopper is a shimmery teal blue. With as many blue and teal shades as I own, this one is completely different from all of the others. It’s more blue than most of my teals, but still not quite a true blue. The finish is also amazing!
Center Stage has a really interesting combination of colors with a plum base, and blue and copper microglitter shimmer. I don’t own and haven’t seen anything else quite like it!
Headliner is a deep burgundy red glitter/shimmer polish with a blackened base. I also own a million red shades, but none quite like this one. It’s the darkest glittery red in my collection now.
Encore is a shimmery red-leaning brown shade with a golden shimmer. It almost looks like a hybrid of Headliner and VIP Access, doesn’t it? I don’t quite know how else to describe it. The color is similar in tone to Gelish I’m Snow Angel, but Encore is more glittery.
VIP Access is a rich, golden brown with a shimmer finish. The only color that I have that’s even close to this is Gelish Sweet Chocolate but the finish is completely different. It’s also much more yellow in tone than Gelish Who’s Cider Are You On.
I have a few more color changing Mood gel polishes from LeChat Perfect Match today. Mood polishes are always a lot of fun to wear since the colors are always changing based on temperature, and they’re great for doing nail art over too. These are the remaining four colors from the new Moods that were released for Fall. You can see my swatches of the other two colors here.
Dream Chaser shifts from a medium shade of purple when warm to a dark grey-ish purple when cold. The dark color is really hard for me to make out… sometimes it looks blue, sometimes it looks purple.
Limelight is a shimmery gel polish that changes from a light lime green when warm to a dark forest green when cold. This might be a fun color to do some holiday nail art with. :)
Lost Lagoon is probably my personal favorite of this lot. It changes from a bright minty teal green when warm to a darker shade of teal blue when warm. I love all shades of teal, so this one’s right up my alley.
Heart’s Desire is a lovely shimmery red gel polish that changes from bright red when warm to a dark burgundy when cold. This is another color that would be great for the upcoming holidays.
I recently picked up a few new shades of LeChat Perfect Match for use in the salon. I realized that I was lacking in neutrals that have matching lacquers. Most of my clients love to match their toes with their fingernails, and the LeChat brand is one of my favorite gel/lacquer duos.
All of the swatches in today’s post show two coats of color. I’ve used all of these colors on clients and they all look great on just about every skin tone.
Utaupia is a very pretty brown-leaning taupe cream.
And Just Breathe is a very pale, off-white cream. I applied this color on a client yesterday and had some issues with shrinkage at the tips. It wasn’t obvious after the first coat because the color was so light, but after applying two I could really see the visible tips. I ended up doing a very thin third coat that capped the tips really well and had my client flash cure each finger to keep the polish from pulling back from the tips. I love the color, but that was a PITA! :) My bottle may just need a good shake, so I’ll have to do that and try it again.
I also picked up one other color called Mi Amour that’s a pink-toned neutral. I haven’t swatched or used it yet, but it looks really pretty and I can’t wait to try it!
These lovely colors are from the new LeChat Perfect Match Enchanted Collection. The set includes six pastel shades for Spring, that each have a cream finish. LeChat Perfect Match gel polishes also come with a matching nail lacquer, which I love for use in the salon.
I’m so excited to see Spring shades coming out… it stirs up anticipation for a new season. Even though we had a very mild Winter here in the Cleveland area, I’m ready for warmer temperatures and to see the flowers and trees bloom again.
Picking Petals is a soft baby pink with some peach tones. This color goes on very sheer and shows a little visible nail line (VNL) with three coats. It’s similar in shade to ProGel Summer Fling and LeChat Pink Lady.
Peach Charming is a light, pastel peach. This color provides great coverage with two coats. This is the lightest shade of peach that I own, and I couldn’t find any other colors quite like it.
Blushing Bloom is also a pastel peach, but is several shades darker and leans a little orange. It also provides great coverage with two coats. This color is a shade or two darker than CND Shellac Salmon Run.
Mystic Lilac is a pale, pastel purple. This is probably my favorite shade of the collection – it’s just so soft and pretty. It also provides good coverage with two coats. I think this is the lightest lilac shade that I own though it’s similar to Gel II Merry Go Berry.
Free Spirit is a vibrant shade of minty blue. It has good coverage with two coats, but I applied three to really take it home. This color is very similar to Pink Gellac Gipsy Blue, but leans a little more green in tone.
Dreamscape is a soft periwinkle blue. This color goes on sheer, but builds up to opacity nicely with three coats. It’s identical to Pink Gellac Sky Blue, and both colors are a great substitute for Gelish Up in the Blue which is known to fade.
So what do you think of the colors in the Enchanted Collection? I think they’re all really pretty, and overall it’s a really cohesive collection for Spring.
